We bought a total fixer upper in L.I., 1st. house, got it for a good price. It needed everything, roof, windows, siding, new hardwood floors, kitchen, you name it, it needed it. We decided to do it all at once & get it over with. I interviewed 5 contractors & got estimates. I went with Ray Coleman & to this day I am so glad I did. The work was done at the price he quoted & in the time frame he said it would take. If any hidden problems popped up, which they did (nobody can see thru walls), they were brought to my attention & explained in detail, no surprises. We, my wife & 11 yr. old daughter were living in the house during construction, Ray made sure at the end of everyday, the house was as clean as it could be for a construction site which we appreciated greatly. Ray and his team are very professional throughout the entire process. Last year, Ray renovated my bathroom completely. It looks amazing. Ray Coleman has done multiple types of jobs for me over the past few years. He re-did my siding, windows, all interior and exterior doors, and built a shed. The shed looks especially great. He used the same type of siding as the house and actually used Anderson windows for it. He also built a bar downstairs. The bar is probably the most impressive of his work. Anyone who comes by immediately compliments us on the beauty of it all. Our bathroom was also remodeled by Ray and like everything else, came out great. Out of all the work he has done for me, which is a lot. I never once had to call him back to fix anything. When hes done, he cleans the property and leaves it spotless. I gave him the keys and the alarm codes and he gets right to work. Very trustworthy. I highly recommend him.

Ray was highly recommended by a friend who owns a window and door wholesale business. Because we had a recurring problem with water damage in our front hallway, he said Ray was the guy to call. Once I met him, we discussed the problem with him and heard his suggestions along with price to fix multiple problems that were causing the water damage. I decided to hire him based on his through evaluation.

Several other contractors had said they “fixed” the problems, but they continued. Ray spend the time to diagnose what was occurring, and how that resulted in the water damage. He explained what needed to be done. His price was reasonable and he showed up when he said he would. He did what he said he would. When he was finished he left our house clean and the workmanship was very professional. After dealing with 3 other contractors for the same problem, I recommend Ray Coleman 100%

Fantastic!

Ray and his workers put on new siding and installed two bay windows and front door in 2008. The siding looks wonderful and his team was respectful while work was being done. Very neat each day they left while doing the job. I had a carpenter ant problem in one of my windows and haven’t seen any there since. He is always willing to work with you and can answer any question that you may have as well as being a down to earth and honest guy. He came back in 2009 to completely redo my main bathroom and fix my downstairs bathroom due to an unexpected leak. He was able to fit me in and complete the job in a timely fashion with it being my only shower. As previously stated in another review his subcontractors are fantastic. Since then he has done work (bathroom, siding, windows) to my sister’s house and a new basement at my grandmother’s house. I am glad he was recommended by friends in the area.
